With Colleague AI in the Field
Intelligent Systems in Agriculture
Outside of public attention, a new technological revolution is taking place in agriculture: digital and AI systems are already being used in many areas of farming. New machines, the use of drones and increasingly precise monitoring are changing the work of farmers. Colleague AI has long been in the field.

Can AI help improve animal welfare, make agriculture more climate-friendly, use soils more sparingly? And how will work in agriculture change? Does the new colleague AI relieve or overburden our farmers? In order to open up this large field of topics and to specify the questions that arise, we have invited experts from various fields.
Panel discussion with Prof. Dr. Hans W. Griepentrog, Head of the Department of Process Engineering in Crop Production at the University of Hohenheim, and Oliver Martin, Managing Director of FarmBlick, a provider of technology and consulting for smart farming, and a special guest.
Event of the series “Questions for Colleague AI” as part of the “Wissenschaftsjahr 2022 - Nachgefragt!”, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
A project of the University of Stuttgart: Interchange Forum for Reflecting on Intelligent Systems (IRIS), International Center for Cultural and Technological Research (IZKT) and the Stuttgart Media University: Crossmedia Editing/Public Relations program in cooperation with the Stuttgart Public Library.
